The pots are degradable and once your seedlings are established you can plant the entire pot and seedling into your garden or bigger pot. The pot will degrade away leaving only the plant behind.

The story behind the product....

"Greenery Lane is the home of eco friendly seed kits and seed paper products.  We are a family business that is 100% Australian owned & operated.

When we set out on our journey to create Greenery Lane we quickly realised how many plant gifts - especially seed packets & pots - were made of throw-away single use plastic. We realised that if we decided to use plastic too that our plant pots and product packaging could be piled up in landfill for hundreds of years and it was a real awakening. We didn’t want our products to still be here when our great great grandchildren are!

We decided that from the start that all of Greenery Lane’s products would be made of 100% compostable & degradable materials. Instead of plastic, our pots are made from degradable materials including coir, peat and cardboard. All of our products are thoughtfully designed to minimise waste & any remaining packaging can either be composted or recycled. We extend this to our shipping packaging and source eco friendly shipping materials.
